How To Get Back/Retrieve Lost NECO Certificate

It is very essential to know UI admission requirements for 2019/2020 before applying for any course in the university because, aspirants who fail to meet their admission requirements, are either given an alternative course to study, or totally denied admission for the year. To this end, I have decided to present to you, UI admission requirements for 2019/2020. So without wasting much of your time, let’s quickly see the requirements for gaining admission in UI.

UI 2019/2020 admission requirements

Below are the requirements to gain admission into the University of Ibadan:

  • Aspirants must apply either through the University Matriculation Examinations (UME) or Direct Entry (DE).
  • Aspirants must choose the correct subject combination for their courses.
  • A Credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory for all Science based courses.
  • Aspirants must have reached the age of sixteen years on the first day of October in the year they are apply for admission.
  • Aspirants must score not less than five credits at only one sitting in the following faculties:

College of Medicine
a. Basic Medical Sciences
b. Clinical Sciences
c. Dentistry
d. Public Health
Pharmacy

  • Aspirants must score not less than five credits at one sitting or six credits at two sittings in the following faculties:

1. Agriculture and Forestry
2. Arts
3. Education
4. Law
5. Science
6. Technology
7. The Social Sciences
8. Veterinary Medicine

  • Aspirants are expected to pass their English examination very well.
  • Aspirants must score at least 200 in JAMB UTME examination.
  • Aspirants must be offered admission directly from the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB).

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another result may be presented to compliment the deficient one. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (2 Sittings) should ensure that, the comprehensive details of both results are submitted.
